Consulting Psychology for Everyday Patient Care

Behavioral Health Integration Group provides physicians with direct access to consulting psychology expertise for patient-related matters. Our consulting psychologists offer practical, case-focused guidance addressing the behavioral and psychosocial factors that may complicate medical treatment, clinical decision-making, patient adherence, care coordination, and treatment outcomes.

When Behavioral Factors Complicate Medical Care

Physicians may encounter patient situations in which behavioral, emotional, or psychosocial factors interfere with treatment progress. Consultation may assist with:

• Treatment adherence and patient readiness
• Behavioral barriers affecting medical outcomes
• Challenging patient interactions
• Work-status and disability considerations
• Discharge, transition, and care-coordination concerns
• Documentation clarity and treatment planning
• Determining when psychological services or evaluation may be appropriate

A Practical Three-Step Consultation Model

1. Clarify

Identify the behavioral, emotional, or psychosocial factors affecting the patient’s treatment, readiness, adherence, or progress.

2. Align

Develop practical recommendations that fit the physician’s treatment plan, clinical responsibilities, and existing workflow.

3. Accelerate

Support clearer documentation, informed decision-making, coordinated care, and timely movement toward appropriate next steps.

Monthly Physician Consultation Retainer

$750 per physician, per month

Each participating physician receives individually assigned access to case-focused consulting psychology services for patient-related matters.

The monthly retainer includes:

• Up to one hour of structured virtual consultation, available as two 30-minute consultations
• Priority scheduling for consultation
• Limited secure-email consultation
• Responses within 24 business hours
• Practical behavioral recommendations aligned with the physician’s clinical role and treatment plan
• An initial three-month engagement

Consultation access and time are assigned to the participating physician and cannot be shared or transferred among physicians. Arrangements involving multiple physicians require separate retainers or a customized group agreement.

Professional Scope and Service Boundaries

Consultation is provided virtually by Behavioral Health Integration Group, LLC as an advisory service to the participating physician. A qualified consulting psychologist provides behavioral and psychosocial insight to support clinical decision-making. The participating physician remains responsible for all medical, diagnostic, treatment, documentation, and referral decisions.

Retainer consultation does not establish a therapist–patient relationship and does not include direct patient treatment, psychological testing, formal evaluations, crisis intervention, or emergency coverage. Services requiring direct patient involvement must be arranged separately.

Please do not submit patient names, medical records, or protected health information through the website. Secure communication procedures will be established after enrollment.
